Trilastin SR Review by Grace Boucher

What Exactly Is Trilastin SR?

Trilastin SRTrilastin SR is a stretch mark cream that you use 2 – 3 times per day. Odds are you’ve heard of it before, since it’s been featured on the Tyra Banks show, among others. There are also plenty of Trilastin reviews out there as well from people whose stretch marks have actually been helped by it.

Its proprietary ingredients are designed to help get rid of stretch marks and other scars. Typically, after the first month or so, you should be able to see your stretch marks starting to disappear. And for most users that have been using it for a couple of months, their stretch marks tend to be nearly completely faded and far smoother than before.

My Experience with Trilastin SR

As a woman who has had weight problems in the past, I figured that stretch marks were something I couldn’t avoid having for the rest of my life. When I was a teenager, I dieted all the time to try and keep as slim as my friends, but anytime I lost any weight I would just as quickly put it back on. Often, I gained back more than I had lost. It was no surprise that all of my weight changes left stretch marks all over my stomach, breasts, arms and thighs.

When I was in college, I finally lost all of the weight I had been struggling with, but I was left with stretch marks that were literally scarred all over my body. I felt like I had been cheated out of enjoying my own body. I always turned my friends down when they invited me to the beach because I couldn’t bear the thought of people seeing me in a bathing suit. I would never be able to wear a bikini – I wouldn’t even wear a sleeveless shirt because I didn’t want people to see my loose skin and stretch marks. Some days, I didn’t even want to leave the house. I was just so ashamed.

When I told my mother how I felt about my body, she was horrified. She tried to tell me that all young people feel that way, and that I’d grow to love myself eventually. I wanted to believe her, but I couldn’t see how anybody could see my stretch marks and still think I was beautiful. Once I graduated from college and got my first real job, I started investing my extra time and money trying to get rid of my stretch marks.

I can honestly say that I had spent thousands of dollars trying to make my stretch marks disappear.

I even considered plastic surgery, but I knew I couldn’t take the time off of work to recover and I was afraid of how much it would hurt. I didn’t think I would ever get rid of my awful stretch marks, and had pretty much accepted that I would just have to live with them for the rest of my life.

Then, my mother got me a 1 month supply of Trilastin SR for my birthday after hearing that one of her friends had great results with it. I couldn’t believe how quickly my stretch marks began to fade. I’ve decided to write this review for the cream because I really want to share my story with others, and make sure that every young woman who feels the way that I did knows that there is a solution.

She told me she got it at a discount with some type of online coupon so I did a bit of research and found some for anyone interested. You can find these Trilastin Coupons here.

In-depth Review

What results are possible with Trilastin?

When I started using Trilastin cream, I noticed results after only a couple of weeks. My stretch marks seemed smoother. They looked different too. Even during the first week, the color started to change and I noticed that I couldn’t see them as well in the mirror. They didn’t disappear miraculously within minutes, like advertisements for some creams will say, but I could genuinely tell that Trilastin was starting to work for me before my 1 month supply even ran out.

I’ve been using Trilastin for over a year now, and my stretch marks have almost completely disappeared, and now there are only tiny little lines that show where they used to be. Actually, I’m the only one who even notices them! I still use Trilastin for preventing stretch marks, but I only apply it once per day since my original marks are pretty much gone. I’ve also discovered that I can use it on scars, since the technology that Trilastin uses is just as effective on scars as stretch marks. I’ve gotten rid of one scar on my jaw line and the few acne scars I had on my face by using the cream on them the same as I did on my stretch marks. I’m really impressed with the product in general.

How Does It Work?

Trilastin’s ingredients fill the creases of stretch marks and other scars, and help your skin tone return to its natural color. It can also help make loose skin firmer. There are two special technologies that Trilastin uses to make scarring disappear. VirtualPatch helps your skin hold way more moisture than it normally could, and makes the other ingredients absorb better into your skin. That’s especially important in scar tissue, like stretch marks, because the tissue doesn’t absorb very well. They also use FillingSpheres, which are dehydrated collagen spheres that go into your skin and expand using your body’s natural moisture. That’s how Trilastin actually makes the stretch marks go away. When the spheres expand, your skin regains elasticity. Trilastin also has licorice root extract to help with pigmentation issues in your skin. I’ve done my research, and because of this ingredient it even works wonders on darker skin.

Trilastin Ingredients

Trilastin SR features a Hypoallergenic, Non-Greasy and Unscented Formulawith the following active ingredients: high-potency elastin, collagen and soy protein. Combined with the delivery technologies discussed above, this topical stretch mark cream is able to provide better than average results.

How Is Trilastin Different From Other Stretch Mark Cures?

Trilastin SR has a number of ingredients that make it different from other so-called remedies for stretch marks. The technologies they use are exclusive to Trilastin, so you actually can’t find another cream that will work the same way. When I started to buy it, I worried that it might be expensive and looked for a generic brand, but there really is nothing that even comes close to the patented technology that they have or the top notch support and customer satisfaction. Also, the bottle lasts so long and the results are so good that I’m positive it’s worth every penny. I’d rather give up my cell phone than my Trilastin!

Comparison:

  • Strivectin is another product that is popular for stretch marks, but I’ve tried it before and I wasn’t wild about the results. Oh yeah, and did I mention that it costs over $50 more than Trilastin, per tube, and has less in each tube?
  • Revitol is sold as a preventative measure for stretch marks. On their website, they admit that it doesn’t do a very good job of getting rid of existing stretch marks. That’s why I love Trilastin so much. Not only does is get rid of stretch marks, but it gets rid of really old stretch marks that have really scarred into the skin. That’s very important to me, especially since Trilastin also helps prevent new stretch marks, just like Revitol claims to do.
  • Mederma is a scar treatment that comes in the form of the gel. I’ve read reviews of it and a lot of people say that the gel doesn’t spread around much, so if you’re using it for stretch marks instead of a little scar, you’re going to need to buy it more often. Also, a few of the reviews I read even said that it makes your skin peel and itch. Trilastin never made anything like that happen to my skin. It kept it smooth and moisturized, and I’d like to keep it that way!
  • Bio Oil is a mineral oil treatment that is marketed as a treatment for scars. I’ve used it before, and I found it didn’t work on my stretch marks at all. It made my skin feel soft, but I wouldn’t really even classify it as a cure for stretch marks.

Does Trilastin Really Work?

July 6th, 2011

Does it work on scars?

Scar

Yes, absolutely. Stretch marks are actually a kind of scar that is caused by your skin stretching faster than its natural elasticity can handle. Trilastin works to restore the elasticity of scar tissue that’s caused by stretch marks, so it can do the same for other scars that you happen to have. I’d really like to point out that it works especially well on acne scars, and is safe for the sensitive skin on your face. It won’t make it greasy or irritate the delicate skin on your face.

You still have to remember to use it 2-3 times per day, which is really important. I had trouble remembering when I first started using Trilastin, but now I use it in the morning, when I get home from work, and before I go to bed. Now that I have a firm schedule for using it, I almost never forget to use it.

Can Trilastin help me with other skin problems?

Trilastin SR works on stretch marks and other types of scarring. They also have a product for cellulite, so if that’s a problem for you they have you covered. One really neat thing that I didn’t know about Trilastin when I started using it is that it can also tighten loose skin and help wrinkles. I have noticed that it works nicely on thin loose skin, like the kind I have around my stretch marks. I don’t have much for wrinkles, though, so I can’t say how it works for them. I’ve read good reviews, though, and it makes sense that the technology in Trilastin helps wrinkles because of the way it fills in stretch marks, and gives skin back its elasticity.

Is Trilastin permanent?

With regular use, Trilastin will make it hard to believe that you ever had stretch marks. Once they are gone, they won’t come back. But it also works to prevent new stretch marks, which is why I still keep a tube in my bathroom cabinet. I haven’t had any children yet, but I’m so glad that I’ve already found Trilastin, because it will make it so that I don’t get any new stretch marks when I get pregnant. After using Trilastin, I can definitely understand why it prevents stretch marks, too, because it keeps my skin so soft and well moisturized. I’m positive that it will be able to stretch around me when I do get pregnant, without being torn to bits by new stretch marks.

Does Trilastin have any side effects?

I’ve done a lot of research on this one because I was worried that a product that works this well would have side effects. The fact is that Trilastin has been used by tens of thousands of people all over the world, and there have been no negative side effects reported. I guess if you wanted, you could call the unexpected skin firming properties a side effect, but I hardly think that anybody will complain about that! It’s also completely safe when you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, although I’m sure you’ll want to clean any residue off your breasts before the little one starts his supper!

I’ve also heard that some people are worried that any cream so effective might irritate your skin. I can promise you that it won’t cause any irritation, and it will actually make your skin feel smooth and well hydrated. I’ve even started using the cream on my elbows where I get really dry skin because I find Trilastin is so moisturizing. It’s much better than some of the really intense moisturizers that are targeted to elbows and knees, because I’ve found that they can cause an uncomfortable stinging. That’s definitely not the case with Trilastin. And, Trilastin SR is completely hypoallergenic, so you can rest assured that it won’t aggravate any of your allergies and is good for sensitive skin.

Can I Safely Buy Trilastin SR Online?

July 4th, 2011

Yes. That’s how I bought mine, once the tube from my birthday was gone. As long as you purchase it directly from the manufacturer’s website, you have nothing to worry about. Don’t let your fear of buying online get in the way of curing your stretch marks. Another great thing about buying Trilastin SR online is that you can see all of the before and after photos from people who have used it (see above).

Trilastin is rarely on sale, since the company that makes it knows that it’s so effective they don’t have to put the price down to sell it. So if you do find a sale on Trilastin, take advantage of it, because it doesn’t happen all the time! Though Trilastin may be available in a few stores, it’s much easier to find online, and delivery is usually really fast. I know I didn’t want to wait when I started to buy it, so I don’t expect you’ll want to wait very long either. Also, you can usually get free shipping if you’re going to buy a couple of months’ supply at once, so it’s not a bad idea to do all of your shopping at once.

Stretch mark creams are really expensive! Isn’t there something else I could use that’s more affordable?

While I definitely understand how appealing it is to find a bargain, my experience in looking for a permanent cure for my stretch marks has shown me that in general, you get what you pay for. I’ve tried home remedies that I’ve found online, I’ve tried Bio Oil and other products that you can find in stores for low prices, but I’ve also found that none of that worked for me. Sometimes they made my skin feel nice and soft, but I could tell that the quality of the ingredients just wasn’t very high. They’d go on oily or greasy, or they wouldn’t spread very well so I’d end up using way more and have to buy much more of it than I originally anticipated.

My success with Trilastin has made me very sure that the best thing to do is find a really good product and stick with it. Even though it can seem like a bit of an investment at first, the results are worth it. Also, I’m writing this review to help you not waste money from trying all those random cures that people talk about. Since I know Trilastin works, I know that you can save a lot of money by starting to use it now instead of later, after you’ve spent as much as I did looking for cures.

UPDATE: Trilastin is currently on sale! The discounted prices are as follow:

-$79.95 for a 1 month supply (instead of $87.00)
-$19.95 for a 2 month supply (instead of $174.00)
-$219.95 for a 3 month supply (instead of $261.00)

For an extra $19, you can get their popular cellulite cream added to your order, which isn’t a bad deal considering it normally retails for about $80.

Anyway, these prices may not be what most people consider cheap. But when you get the point where I was, having already spent thousands of dollars on every treatment under the sun, finding one that finally worked pretty much as advertised wasn’t such a bad deal!

Is Trilastin a Scam?

July 2nd, 2011

I’ve been scammed before. How do I know that Trilastin isn’t a scam too?

Is Trilastin a Scam?Personally, I always do my due diligence before making a purchase online, or anywhere for that matter, and buying Trilastin was no different. A quick look at the Better Business Bureau report for EC Research Corp. (the company the makes Trilastin SR) shows that they have only a handful of minor complaints and that they’ve maintained an overall excellent score.

That’s actually another part of the reason I decided to write this review. Like I mentioned before, I’ve tried too many of those scam products and I understand how frustrating it can be. So I figured that I’d help get the word out there that Trilastin is definitely not a scam. When you purchase Trilastin it always has a 60 day money back guarantee, too, so you know that if you buy it you have that security. Also, since you know it works, you can buy more than one tube at a time, so you save more per tube than if you just bought a single tube.

It’s also important to remember that results don’t happen overnight. I’ve read reviews of Trilastin-SR where women said they used it for a few days and didn’t notice any results so they stopped using it! Of course, there is nothing that will make your stretch marks disappear with one use – if there was, you’d have heard about it by now. That’s why when I tried Trilastin, I stuck with the application regimen very strictly for the first few months. Even though it can be hard at first to remember to apply Trilastin 2-3 times per day, you really need to stick with that schedule in order to see results in the fastest time.

After applying it 2-3 times per day, every day for a few weeks, I was definitely able to see that my stretch marks were beginning to fade. I feel bad for any woman who gave up after less than a week, because if they had stuck with it, they would realize that it’s really the cure for stretch marks. I also wonder about the women who use one tube and then decide not to keep going. I mean, if you notice results after about a month, I don’t see how you can justify stopping treatment! I found that even though my stretch marks were fading after about a month, the real difference really didn’t appear for almost 3 months. Even though I’d had more success with Trilastin than any other product I’d tried before, I really didn’t believe that it could make my body look this good. I was glad to be wrong there, though, because after a few months my stretch marks were almost imperceptible!

Trilastin SR Review Recap & My Overall Conclusion

June 30th, 2011

I don’t want to go on too long, because I know I’ve made this review quite long, but I’ll sum up my experience with Trilastin for you in case you didn’t have a chance to read through all the information I’ve shared with you. Overall, I’m thrilled that I decided to try Trilastin SR. I couldn’t ask for a product that gives better results. Seeing Trilastin SR on the Tyra Banks Show made me so happy because I know that many women trust Tyra’s opinions, and that means that more women will be able to have the same great experience as I’ve had. Trilastin SR works on stretch marks, acne scars, and various other scars on your body. It does all that without irritating your skin or aggravating any allergies.

Trilastin is a permanent cure for stretch marks, even old ones, and helps prevent new ones from forming when you get pregnant or have fast weight changes. It works on dark skin and sensitive skin, because its ingredients work with your body’s chemistry to reverse discoloration and make your skin generally healthier and improve elasticity. Although there are many products out there that claim to get rid of stretch marks, I’m positive that Trilastin is the best one out there. Its competitors are often just glorified moisturizers with a scary price tag, and I’m glad that I don’t have to waste any more money on products that don’t work.

There are plenty of honest Trilastin testimonials out there because it works and people want to talk about it. In fact, it’s rated the highest by consumer reviews, which is great because so many people look to these guides to make their purchasing decisions. Trilastin’s ingredients contain the most advanced technologies for removing stretch marks, so you know that it’s not just temporarily masking them. It features patented VirtualPatch and FillingSpheres technology which are designed to help the active ingredients penetrate the skin’s outer layers so the skin can absorb the nutrients and regain its natural elasticity, color and smooth feel.

The company itself is also responsible, so they never do research or testing on animals. I’m glad because even though I consider it my miracle cure, I wouldn’t buy anything that’s been tested on animals. It’s so rare to find a company with a conscience nowadays, and finding that Trilastin is being produced by one was really a treat.

After all of my issues with weight and the self esteem problems they caused, I’m just happy that I finally found something that really works. I got scammed way too many times before I found Trilastin SR, and I really wish I had found it sooner. I could have saved myself years of trouble and a lot of money if I had tried Trilastin when I was younger, but even though it took me so long to find my stretch mark cure I’m glad I kept looking. Now, I feel like I can show my body off, something I never thought possible even when I had gotten back into shape because of the horrible stretch marks all over my body. I can wear a bikini (really, a bikini!) to the beach and I know that people who look at me are thinking about how good I look instead of how awful my stretch marks are. I’m going to continue using Trilastin for now, and especially when I get pregnant because I want to make sure that I never get any more stretch marks.

I hope that you’ve found my Trilastin SR review helpful, and I can’t say it enough: if you’ve had problems with other creams and you hate your stretch marks, get out there and buy Trilastin. You’ll thank me for it, I promise! Just remember to use it exactly as specified and you can get the same results as I’ve had. When you do, make sure to get the word out there to others like I have, because it’s not fair to keep something like this to yourself.
